Frequently Asked Questions (Q&A)
Q. What is a tanmono?
A. A tanmono is generally a piece of cloth measuring 36 cm wide and approximately 12 meters long. It is sold rolled up, and one roll (called ittan) is just enough to make one kimono.
Note: Depending on the garment—such as haori or children's wear—there may be leftover fabric or a shortage.
Q. How long does tailoring take?
A. It depends on the request and tailoring method, but the general estimate is about 1–2 months.
If you have a specific deadline or need it urgently, please let us know—we’ll do our best to accommodate.
